Can you tell me what the resistance reading is for the gas coils on this model? The whirlpool part number is 279237 for the replacement coil kit. Note, my unit has the older type K coils, not the ones that have a 2-terminal and a 3-terminal coil that you provided the info on. I dont have those type of coils at all, mine are 2-conductor hard wired coils. The igniter glows, the flame sensor has a low resistance reading but no flame or gas flow and no clicks from the coils. I cannot do any tests after running the dryer for 10 minutes as it doesn't heat at all.
ANSWER Hello Roger. According to the manufacture the coils 279058 should read between 800 and 1100 ohms +- 10%. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
