I have done all the jumper tests and realize it's my T-stat but the mold is also starting to go so I want to replace my entire icemaker. The complete icemaker unit you show on your site has the mechanism for a mechanical "arm" to tell it when the bucket is full but mine has the wireless IR sensors. Will this same icemaker work with my KitchenAid model KSCS25FTMS02 with the IR? Thanks! Ken
ANSWER Hello Ken,
Whirlpools' ice makers are almost all interchangeable by removing or adding a few parts from the old ice maker assembly. In the case of not needing the arm, you simply do not install it. The optics system will turn the power off to the ice maker when the bin is full.
