My fridge seems to stop working a few times a week. I open the freezer and find the food is not frozen and is thawing. I turn off the fridge using the knobs at the top in the front of the unit and then turn it back on and I hear the fan start up and then it works. How do I know which fan is not working? (condensor or evaporator)

This actually sounds like the cold control 2198202 is your issue.
