Refrigerator portion is too cold. It is freezing our eggs and causing them to break. Freezer is set to 0; frig is set to 39 (F). Have previously replaced the dampener. It was working correctly, but the motor was making a grinding noise. Dampener appears to still be working correctly. Refrigerator does not appear to be running continuously.
Also, did notice a bit of ice on the freezer coils, right at the junction of the condenser and the copper tubing joint (if this helps).
Can the transducer be bad if the digital temp reads correct at 39? I also placed a mechanical thermometer in the frig to verify and the thermometers both read 39, so I believe they are correct.
ANSWER Hello John. If the damper assembly is good in the unit, then it sounds like the thermistor 12002355 is bad and will need to be replaced. This reads the temperature inside the refrigerator.
