The refrigerator side keeps freezing food, I was told I need a damper control P/N W10127427. Where is it located in the refrigerator and how difficult is it to change? Is there a drawing that shows location and steps involved to change this part?
ANSWER Hello Gary,
The damper on this unit is called a control. It will not be the issue since it controls the air flow into the ice maker section. The part you will most likely need is the evaporator fan motor. It is behind the rear freezer wall and is easily checked by simply stopping the fan blade. If it doesn't start right back up or starts slowly, it is the issue. If it does take off on its' own, the issue is probably a defrost issue.
