right now I have a Jenn Air cooktop from the 80's and it has those heavy looking euro burners which I hate since it's hard to control cooking temps (they stay HOT when you turn it down) so I just recently found out I could chage over the cartridges to the flat black glass kind. She asked for my stoves model # and she then said I'd need to buy jenn air's model JEA8120ADB to replace the current cartridges that I have. In doing Internet research I have run across a whirlpool made cartridge AP4242078 and understand I can use that as well instead? Another question, I see that you just sell the glass part, would that be compatible to what would currently be under the euro burner cartridge? Not sure how the cartridge separates? My electrical part works fine, I just hate the euro burner top...and I don't want to spend a ton around Christmas on me for cooktop cartridges...even though I have been wanting so badly to change my cooktop for the past 10 years...I put myself last when money is tight...maybe I need a return special from a company lol. Thanks so much for your help :-)
ANSWER Hello Shannon. You can not use your old cartridge with the glass part. However, JEA8120ADBA is the same part as the number you provided and it should work on your model of cooktop. Hope this helps.
