The cooling fan is making a noise like a piece of paper is touching the fan. It is intermittent. We noticed this with the upper oven, but switched to the lower oven and it made the same noise. Ap3079434 is shown as the blower cooling kit. Does my unit have one or two cooling fans? I do not want to order if it might be due to a piece of debris.
I would appreciate any input from the pros.
ANSWER Hi Lou. Unfortunately the upper oven convection fan cover bolts will come loose and cause the cover to rattle. Remove the racks and door and check this first. If this is not it, check the fan blade nut and see if it is tight. The nut is part # 4452227. If the fan blade got bent, it is part # 4452226. Now concentrate on the blower fan issue. You need to remove te power and support the unit on a couple of chairs or solid stands. You will need to remove the top cover and see if that fan is making noise as you freely spin it. As if the bearings are bad or a blade is bent. The upper fan assy. comes with a kit that helps isolate the vibrations. It comes w/instructions. Then have someone help support the unit and lean the unit on its back to see if the bottom is bent up into the fan. It is common that during an install it is unknown that the fan is at the bottom. The unit by nature is very heavy and gets accidentally set down just hard enough to induce a issue. If not immediate, it will show up in the future. The bottom fan is part # W10016550. Thank You.
