Would a defective defrost control cause the the refrigerator side to go up to about 50 degrees and stay there? If I unplug and defrost the entire side-by-side, and the refrigerator side worked for a few days and went back up to 50 degrees, what might that be symptoms of?
ANSWER Hello SCH. Yes, a bad defrost control could cause this problem. You will need to test the heater and thermostat and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity when cold. Hope this helps.
