Unit just made loud pop (electrical arc) when turned on followed by burning odor. Unit does not cook, but fan, clock, etc. are working. The H.V. diode is clearly burned out. In this situation, does replacing the diode usually correct the problem? Or, is it likely there is also a problem with the capacitor?

ANSWER Hello Chuck. Check the magnetron 4392006 and make sure it is good and not burnt out. If so, the diode 4313101 should fix the problem. Hope this helps.
