Hi, the washer fills and will not agitate or spin. There is a slight burning smell and the agitator initially locked up and a bit later loosened up. The lid switch tested fine, the drain pump is good along with the (3) hoses are clear. The motor coupling looks good too. No obvious physical damage to the motor. Please share your thoughts. ANSWER Jack, Check and make sure the drain pump impeller and bearing are not seized. Then visibly inspect the capacitor 8572717 for damage, bulging or oil leaking. The consider the timer 8557226, there could be a damaged direction or motor start contact in the timer causing the motor to hum, but not run.
