My soap dispenser stopped opening. The solenoid coil melted, resistance 3.2 ohms. Found TR4 on controller visibly damaged, resistance check of dispenser wire was good. I replaced dispenser and controller. Worked for approximately 2 weeks and now the dispenser coil has again melted, resistance 5.2 ohms. Any advise on additional checks or known issues regarding this failure would be appreciated. Thanks David
ANSWER Hello David. Two things to check. I would first go to the electrical connections to the unit and insure the wire nuts are tight to prevent an increase in current flow. The other is to check the wiring harness to insure it isn't "melted" into the door liner noise suppression material. If both of these check out good, the parts all have a 1 year warranty and can be exchanged for you no problem. It is possible to have a new defective part from the manufacturer. Please let me know if I can assist you futher.
