The gasket, P/N 2177311, on the refrigerated portion of my refrigerator is torn at the top. Of course, there are no nuts to unscrew to remove the old gasket. What tools and method is used to remove the old and then install the new gasket? For future information is the same procedure used to remove and reinstall the freezer gasket? Your help and assistance is appreciated.
The door seal is wrapped around the back of the door liner. You would pull out of the door liner and the new one has a hard clip on the back of it that you would push down behind the door liner and the way it is designed it will clip into place. This is the same process as the freezer door.
