A year ago my oven door stopped closing all of the way, leaving the light on. I replaced both springs in the door, and it worked fine. Come tonight, it stopped shutting all the way again. Is it possible the springs went bad that quickly, or could it be something else?
The door will close fine if I push it in, so I don't think it is the latch -- just not enough tension on the springs.
ANSWER Hello Andrew. Make sure the door is not binding, and not hitting the racks on the unit. If not, the springs 4455526 may need to be replaced again. If something is set on the door, and it is heavy, it can cause the door not to close properly. Hope this helps.
