Re: Amana Radarange overstove microwave. I have determined that I need to replace at least one door switch. There is an awful lot of plastic holding those switches in and I can't see how to remove the switches without damaging the plastic that holds them in place ? Please advise. Thank you,
ANSWER Hi Mark. Remove the top/front upper vent grill. Above the control panel is a metal grill plate that needs to be removed. This gives access to removing the control panel upper screw. Lift up and out on the control panel. You will only have a very little area to pull out on the control because of a green ground screw holding it. Once this screw is removed, then note all connections on the control board for proper re-installation. Set this aside. Open the door. There are 2-screws that hold the switch bracket assy. part # 53001363 to the side of the cabinet. Remove these screws and In stall the switches part # 4392027 as needed. Thank You.
