Hi, I am replacing the door switch assembly for my washer. part number AP3837611. I am trying to find good directions on how to do this. In one post you mention 'remove the cable off the front of the boot'. Could you clarify what the 'cable' and 'boot' are , and a little more detail? Thanks!
ANSWER Hello Doug,
The door boot is the gasket between the front panel and the outer tub assembly. It is removed from the front panel and you can then reach through the opening to access the door lock assembly. The cable is used as a clamp to hold the door boot on.
