My washer door will not latch. It is as if there is something blocking the door from latching. Do I just need a latch?

ANSWER Hello Rashawna,
You want to check the wiring to make sure that there is no loose or corroded connections. Check the latch to make sure that it is not damaged. Make sure door strike lines up with latch. If all this checks ok then you would need to replace the latch 8182634.
