Washing machine works if lid is dropped. I think the lid switch is the problem. Will this come with instructions for my husband to fix? Not sure how to get the top off?
ANSWER Hello Beth. You will need to check and make sure the switch is tight and not loose. If it is tight, then you will need to replace the lid switch. If you will raise the control panel of the machine, there are two brass colored clips that will need to be released. Once removed, the cabinet will pull off the machine. Hope this helps.
