I needed at least a 10 drain hose. I purchased part number 3385556 which is a 12' drain hose. If I'm to keep the total length down to no more than 12' I will need to shorten this hose. How do I make the connection to the disposal after I cut the rubber end off that has come with the hose. Is their any way to just replace this hose for the one thats on the dishwasher.
ANSWER Willie, The "rubber" sleeved end of the hose attaches to the dishwasher pump drain outlet, the hose then has to be routed up the side of the tub and secured to the tub mount clip and routed back down to the floor/frame level, and routed out the back and into the opening in the cabinet. That's going to use quite a bit of hose. The bitter end of the hose has a "barbed fitting which you'll insert and clamp onto the short length of rubber hose that you will attach to the disposal dishwasher drain spout. So you're on the right track at this point. Thanks and Good Luck
