There was water outside my refrig and a handiman, after taking the back of the freezer off, discovered that the niple that was draining the pan into the drain tubing was shearred flush with the bottom of the pan. So, there isn't a way to couple the pan to the tubing. I think the drippan #AP2987776 mounts in the back of my freezer cabinet right below the freezer shelf and collects the water after the deforst cycle. Is that what this part is and is there a way to attach a new coupling or do I need to replace the whole drip pan? Thanks
ANSWER Hello Kathe. If the drain pan is busted, you will need to replace the drain pan 4344221 in the unit.
