F-21 error. How do I clean out the pump/drain to check for foreign objects. Is there a special tool for the clamp and can I re-use it or will I have to replace it with a new hose clamp? Thank you.
ANSWER Hello Bob,
Remove the three screws from the bottom of the bottom front panel, This allows you to remove it. The pump has a screw on cap that you remove to clear the sump filter. Un-plug the unit first as some water is always in the sump area and will pour out when the cover is removed. There is no clamp that has to be replaced so it is no issue. Also, if you cannot turn the sump cap, use the handles of a pair of pliers in the cap and put a screwdriver through the pliers for leverage. This will allow you to turn it without breaking anything.
