TODAY MY MACHINE WORKED FINE UNTIL IT CAME TO THE DRAINING CYCLE ,AT WHICH TIME IT WAS AS IF I HAD TURNED IT OFF. NO SOUND AT ALL LIKE ELECTRICITY HAD BEEN CUT OFF FROM THE PUMP. I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL UNTIL TODAY.
WE REMOVED THE PUMP AND FOUND NOTHING WRONG. IT WASN'T STOPPED UP AND THE MOTOR ISN'T LOCKED UP EITHER. YOU CAN HEAR A HUMMING WHEN YOU PUT IT ON RINSE AND IT AGATITES JUST FINE THE TUB JUST WON'T EMPTY.
ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME WOULD BE APPERICATED. THANK YOU, MARY
ANSWER Hello Mary,
You will want to check the lid switch to make sure that it has not gone bad. To check switch you will be looking for continuity with the lid closed. If no continuity then you will need to replace the switch. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
