I have isolated a clicking/grinding noise to the water pump. My wife says she smelled burning when it first started but it doesn't smell now and the washer goes through all cycles fine. Could the burning smell indicate something other than the water pump? Assuming the water pump is the problem, there are two different assemblies listed (AP4372886 and AP4373022). Which one do I need?

ANSWER Hello John. Based on the information you provided, you will need to replace the pump assembly. If you serial number is 10-25 on the first two numbers, you will need to order 35-6465. If it is 26 or later, you will need to order 35-6780. Hope this helps.
