Thank you for the suggestion that worn damper pads may be contributing to the high vibration during the spin cycle. How difficult is it to remove the transmission & damper assembly in order to access the pads? It appears the drive pulley must be removed from the transmission shaft. Is this a major task?
ANSWER Hello Ron. These are not easy, but not to hard to do. Do not remove the pulley. You can loosen the tub springs (do NOT remove them) and use a board under the pulley to raise it enough to replace the pads. Hope this helps.
