I need to replace my Drive Motor (Part number shown on the motor is 3395654, Specification is 1/3 hp 115/60 5.9 Amp Thermal Protected CLB.
Your parts help desk told me to use the compatible motor part # AP 3094233. When I look at it, there is a difference on how the wire comes out of the Motor to the mounted terminal.
My motor has three wires comming out of the Motor. Two is connected to the Drive Motor Sw terminal that is mounted on the motor. The third wire is connected to a Thermal Fuse (a separate unit from the Drive Motor SW that is mounted under the Drive Motor Sw). The other end of the Thermal Fuse is connected to the Belt cut off Sw. The Thermal Fuse description is a 1.25" x 1", .25" thick black casing with two terminals sticking out. the description on it is 9919 T-O-D 20MCD3GA 028.
Your motor has only two wires coming out of the Motor and connected to the terminal on the Drive Motor SW (that is mounted on the Motor).Does your Motor have a Thermal Fuse protecting the Motor circuit? How do I coonect the Thermal Fuse to the new motor if I were to buy the new one?
ANSWER Hello Ted. Based on the part number and model number you provided, 279787 is the correct motor. It may look different, but should work properly on the unit. Hope this helps.
