A repair guy came out and said our kenmore elite dryer wasn't heating up because the centrifugal switch went bad? So to replace the whole motor?? He said everything else checks out okay - does this sound right?

ANSWER Hello Jodi. Yes, if the switch goes out, it will cause the unit to quit heating. If so, you will need to replace the drive motor 279787 in the unit.
