Dryer made a horrible thumping sound when I started it. I turned it off and took it apart. I think it is the rollers that support the drum--one turns freely and one is much tighter. Before I order parts, I want to know if my diagnosis seems right. Thanks.

ANSWER Hello Linda. Yes, if the rollers are bad, they will make a thumping noise. You will need to replace both parts.
