Noticed the dryer running super hot, even on the lowest setting. Did some troubleshooting. I'm thinking its the cycling thermostat, part number 8318268. I took it off the dryer and noticed it makes a rattling sound. Does that mean something is broken inside it?
ANSWER Hello Paul. No, need to check for shorted heater and test the thermostats. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
