My dryer heater will not heat up. I have checked the heating element, fuse and cleaned the vent. How do you check the thermostat to see if that is the problem?

ANSWER The two large terminals will be closed, and the two small ones should ohm out around 250 ohms. You also need to check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer.
