Dryer does not go into cool-down mode, could this be the thermostat?
ANSWER Curt, There is a slight possibility that the thermostat could be the issue. Try this, Disconnect the exhaust vent from the back of the dryer. Select a timed dry setting and start the dryer, it the timer advances< the timer is not the issue. Restart the dryer on a "auto" dry setting and let run to the off position. If all works OK, you have an issue in the exhaust system and will need to have the venting checked and cleaned. If the timer doesn't advance, then check the thermostats and timer. Thanks
