My dryer stopped mid cycle, I have a Kenmore I have checked the door switch, the thermal fuse, the push to start switch and they are all good. Could a broken belt cause this? When I took it apart I saw the belt was broken. I see that it has a switch on the motor is it anyway I can check to see if the switch is good?
ANSWER Hello Marty. The belt switch is good, you will need to replace the belt 661570. It is designed to shut the dryer off, when the belt breaks. Hope this helps.
