makes a rattling sound at start up and is noisy when turning, sounds sort of like a bearing, all original still and @ 13 years old, , I'm pretty handy but it looks like I need to pull out from wall and open the back to work on it. What parts do you recommend to fix?
ANSWER Hello Sean,
You would only have to pull this unit out a little to be able to raise the top. There are 2 clips in between the cabinet front and top panel that you have to depress to lift top and unplug. Then there are 2 screws, one on either side, holding the front panel on. Remove front panel and front bulk head. Then remove drum. The parts that you would want to replace would be the rollers 12001541. You will also want to check the idler arm and spring.
