I have installed the belt, groove in the belt facing away from the drum around the tumbler. Around the large white plastic idler pulley, and around the motor pulley. But the belt is hitting the metal guide by the large white plastic idler pulley and also rubbing against the belt on the machine pulley. It almost feels like the belt shul d 98" as opposed to 100" to put the right tension on the spring holding the plastic idler pulley. What am I doing wrong?
ANSWER Hello Azra,
The groove on the belt should be facing the tumbler. If it is not then it will slide and rub against pulley. The groove acts like a gripper around the tumbler.
