We've had this Maytag for 24 years without any repairs and it's just now that we are having trouble. Ser# 082200 NT
First of all it's making this tinny rumbling sound at startup but eventually goes away.
Second it doesn't get as hot inside the drum the way it used to.
I guess my question to you is, can it be fixed? (I'm pretty handy) or do you think it's time to retire?

ANSWER Hello Larry. Yes, it can be fixed. Check and see if the blower wheel Y303836 is stripped out. If so, it will cause both issues to the unit.
