Replace both felt seals, rear rollers and shafts. After reassembly, drum is turning slower than normal and making slight bumping noise. Is slow rotation due to fresh felt seals or did I do something wrong? Everything looked normal, seals were kept to outside of drum when reassembled, belt back in normal position. HELP!
ANSWER Hello J.S.,
You need to double check that the drum is riding on top of the rollers and also check for a twisted belt. The unit should not slow down because of new parts. If you lubricated the rollers with a dry lubricant, you should go back in and wipe the excess off since too much dry lubricant will interfere with the rollers rotation.
