My wife is reporting that the Dryer is not drying as fast as it used to. Are there mutliple heating elements in this dryer? If not, then since it is getting a fair amount of heat (IMO), then what might be the reason for decreased drying. Am I correct in presuming that if it is one element, it will either be on or off, and that it does not have a partially working state. Thank you.
ANSWER Hello Oneor. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly.
