I replaced the heating element in my dryer about a year ago and it burnt out again. Should I replace other parts as well? Such as the thermistor and the thermofuse?
ANSWER Denise, We wouldn't expect the fuse or the thermistor to be an issue. but you do need to check the wiring and the wiring terminals, make sure they fit tight when you install them onto the element terminals. You also need to check the exhaust vent pipes and vent hood and the blower and lint filter housings, excess heat due to improper air flow can create a "weak" spot in the heater element.
