The lint ends up around the outside of the lint trap clinging on to the dryer door. Should there be a gasket around the lint trap?
ANSWER Hello Bill,
There is no type of gasket around the lint trap. You will want to check your dryer venting to make sure that it is clear. An obstructed vent will cause backpressure and cause lint to come out around the lint filter.
