Gas dryer works. Drum turns burner ignites and cloths seem to dry ok. Unit makes loud banging noise sounds like it is coming from behind the drum. What is causing the noise, it came on suddenly but now doesn't stop while the unit is running?

ANSWER Robert, You'll need to remove the filter, raise the top and remove the front panel, so you can check the belt 341241 for a damaged spot, and the rear drum rollers 349241T for a flat spot, or missing rubber surface. Also check and tighten the drum baffle screws.
