The dryer was running and clicked off about 1 hour later I put towels in and it will not start. When you push the start button nothing happens no click no nothing. If you push the button in the door the light goes off. Could it be the start button or the Door switch or the Thermal fuse?
ANSWER Billie, It could be a fault in any of the components you mentioned. Without a model number, it's difficult to assist you. You may want to start at the thermal fuse, then the door switch, based on your post description. The thermal fuse should have a "closed" circuit at all times and is usually located on the blower housing. You'll also need to check the door switch circuit for a"closed" circuit between the "com" and "NC" terminals with the plunger pressed in, you could have a faulty door switch or wiring issue. If you need more assistance, please attach a model number to your post. Thanks
