I read how to get to the belt but I don't see any screws on the front corners.

ANSWER Hello Nick,
When you take out the filter there are 2 screws. Remove the screws and slide main top forward slightly. Lift main top. On either side of the unit on the inside there will be a screw holding the front panel in place. Remove these screws and lift front panel off.
