Dryer runs fine on just "air",when I put it on a heat setting,it will trip the breaker(40a) in 10-15 min.Vent is clear.Heating element does not show any breaks.Breaker is very hot when it trips.HELP!
ANSWER BJ, Check for a weak breaker first. The dryer draws 20 to 24 amps at maximum draw. If there are no breaks or damage to the element, if there are no arc marks in the heater cone or heater support panel, you'd have to start at the breaker and check for loose wire connections at the outlet and dryer terminal block..
