My Kenmore Elite Oasis dryer quit running. I have replaced the drum rollers and the belt and also in the process of replacing the idler pulley. I have the tension arm ordered since the old one wore the shaft out. I have the thermal fuse and will replace it that only quits the heating, right? How do I go about diagnosing the problem? It does not run at all.
Thank you! Your videos are very helpful in doing my own repairs!
ANSWER Hello Eldon. No, the thermal fuse will prevent the dryer from running. You need to test it and the door switch. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
