How to tell if a thermal fuse is bad? And if that is bad would the next thing be the igniter? If my unit will not heat at all??

ANSWER Hello T-berry. The thermal fuse should read closed for continuity. The igniter would not cause it to go bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
