When I push the starter button my dryer does not start. After the dial cycles to the Wrinkle shield the dryer comes onfor a little while as it should when it reaches that setting. What could be the problem.
ANSWER Hello Connie,
It sounds like the contacts in the timer are not making contact to allow the motor to start in the normal cycle. You can do a check to make sure that the timer is good. Using multi meter, with timer on and start button pushed check on the timer from Blue to W on timed dry. You should have 120 vac at this point. If you do not then you have a bad timer. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
