My dryer heating elements stays on even with door closed. I can turn it off with on/off knob. I have changed the themal fuse twice and it worked for a while. Then I changed the cycling thermostate and it worked for a while but had to replace fuse again. Now the fuse is blowed again any ideas?
ANSWER Hello Friendly Finley. It sounds like the heater coils are grounded. You need to check the coils and see if they are making contact with the metal on the unit. If so, replace the heater to repair the issue.
