I've replaced parts 53-2880 & 53-0771 with heating element kit, but the dryer still doesn't work. The dryer heats up but, the drum isn't turning, and the belt is tight & I can manually turn the drum. Is there still another thermal fuse under the drum to be replaced, & if so how can I do it? I've checked as much as I can to find the other fuse, but can't find it.
ANSWER Hello Theima. If the unit is heating, but the drum is not turning, and it is not locked up, you will need to order and replace the motor on the unit. If the thermal fuse was bad, there would be no heat.
