I just bought the water inlet valve and water still drips over the side of the tray. The ice discharges and then the water leaks down into the Ice box and into the side door opening and on to the floor. Was the valve not what I needed?
ANSWER Hello Adam,
You need to check the water pressure that is supplied to the unit. If the water pressure is too low, the valve, since it is closed solely by the water pressure. If the water pressure is too low, you will never get the ice maker to operate properly. Too low by the way is approximately 40 P.S.I. If this isn't the case, you could have a bad ice maker assembly in which the points are sticking.
