I changed the module because the tray was not releasing the ice all the time and water was running in ice bucket. The ice is releasing now, but water still runs in ice bucket. Could the water level on the ice maker need adjusting?
ANSWER Hello Emma,
You need to check the water pressure to the unit. You see, the water inlet valve is closed by water pressure. If the shut-off valve is partially closed or stopping up, or the water line is crimped, this will cause the valve to close too slowly, causing an overfill situation. If the water pressure is good at the back of the unit, the water valve 2188542 is mal-functioning and closing too slowly, causing the ice maker mold to overfill.
