My dryer will not start. The display is lit up like normal with the start/pause button flashing and the estimated time display showing "46" (which is normal) but when you push start nothing happens. Also there are some random chirping noises (no pattern). I've unplugged the dryer several times and left it set and retried it with no change.
You will want to check to make sure that the door switch is good by doing a continuity test on the door switch. The door switch should have continuity when closed. Also check the thermal fuse on the front of the blower housing. The thermal fuse should also have continuity. If the these test ok then the most likely cause of failure would be a faulty control board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
