Dryer begins briefly when I depress the start button, but then stops after a several seconds. When inspecting the control board, it is darkened around the part (transistor?) in the upper right corner as though it gets too hot. Do assume correctly that the control board needs to be replaced? Is this an indication that the centrifugal switch(es) on the motor are also malfunctioning, so that both parts are likely required? Thanks!

ANSWER Hello Don,
The board discolors from the heat of the resistors. This is considered normal from normal operation. The issue is more likely to be the run windings in the motor 279827.
